Dr. Rose graduated Magna Cum Laude with college honors from UCLA, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors. He continued on at UCLA earning his M.D. and completing his internship and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Rose trained with world-renowned hand surgeon Dr. David Green, the doctor who literally wrote the book on hand surgery. Following a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Dr. Rose returned to Southern California, where he continued to share his expertise as a clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine in Torrance, California and as an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.
Dr. Rose is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and board certified in hand surgery as well. He has received many honors and awards and has authored numerous publications and book chapters. Most recently, he authored the chapter “Reoperative Medial and Lateral Epicondylitis Surgery” in the Mayo Clinic’s textbook “Reoperative Hand Surgery.” Additionally, his research in arthroscopy, sports medicine and hand & upper extremity surgery has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings.
Dr. Rose is on staff at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital and is on the board of directors for the Orthopaedic Surgery Center of Orange County. He also has the prestigious honor of serving as an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California.
